Sifu NewbyWe are excited to announce we have secured a date for Mr Newby, our Academy’s founder, to conduct the next of our “Special Interest” Seminars. This will take place on May 25th in Inveralmond High School Ladywell Livingston from 1pm - 3.30pm, This course will be a fantastic opportunity for all grades to be taught by Mr Newby one of the Guardians of Lau Gar. And in many peoples opinion, one of the top practitioners of Lau Gar Kuin in the BKFA. If you have never been fortunate enough to have been taught by Mr Newby please don’t miss this course as it is guaranteed to be one of, if not the, best we will be running this year. The course will be concentrating on the Techniques, Stances, Movement and application within our Lau Gar syllabus [Submitted by chuck norris] NEW CORSTORPHINE CLUBIt will be held at St Ninians Church, 144 St John's Road, Edinburgh. Please access hall from the rear of the Church by taking 1st right passed the church (if coming from town) up St. Ninians Road, then 1st right again. There is a small car park at rear of church. Again, if coming from town by bus - get off at first bus stop passed the church, cross the road and go up St Ninians Road to back of church. PKA Scotland, A formal introductionLast year saw the introduction of a new curriculum since our additional affiliation to the B.K.F.A's sister group, the P.K.A. Whilst both associations are completely seperate to one another, both share their origins with the same founder, Principal Mr Mike Haig who introduced Kung Fu to the UK public in 1972, inviting the Master of the Lau Gar style, Master Jeremy Yau to become the B.K.F.A.'s Chief Instructor.
